GSA's new audition fee widens access and improves representation.

As applications open, Guildford School of Acting (GSA) are delighted to announce new audition and interview processes and fee structures for 2021 entry.

Head of GSA, Professor Sean McNamara says “2020 has been a year of profound change. We hope that by reducing our audition fee, from a flat rate of £55 to £15 for first round auditions, this will have a significant and positive impact on widening access, improving representation within our student cohorts and supporting the aspiration of auditioning for drama school. Candidates who proceed to the recall workshop day will pay a further £30, meaning the new fee structure would result in a significant reduction to the cost of auditioning for the majority of applicants.

Sean added “We are also excited to launch for 2021 entry our new BA Applied & Contemporary Theatre programme, aimed at training highly skilled theatre makers and cultural entrepreneurs of the future who aspire to influence social change through the medium of theatre and creativity, for which we have decided to offer auditions free of charge.”
