International In-Person Auditions 2026 - Philadelphia, USA & Shanghai, China

We are delighted to announce that our 2026 international auditions will be held in Philadelphia (USA) and Shanghai (China), making it easier for overseas applicants to audition without travelling to the UK. At GSA, we pride ourselves on offering a fair, inclusive and accessible admission process. By expanding to international audition hubs, we aim to reduce travel and visa barriers for candidates outside the UK, opening up our courses to talented individuals from across the globe.

 

International Audition Hubs & Dates

  • Philadelphia, USA

    • Dates: Saturday 10 January & Sunday 11 January 2026
    • Venue: Symmetry Dance Wellness, 2006 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
    • Eligible for: All GSA applicants (undergraduate and postgraduate). For BA Acting and BA Musical Theatre only; you must have completed the first-round video audition stage and have been invited to a recall audition.

We will also be taking part in the URTA In-Person Auditions and Guest Auditions in Philadelphia.

 

  • Shanghai, China

    • Dates: Friday, 17 April and Saturday,18 April 2026
    • Venue: Shanghai Culture Square - SCS Musical Centre (C Space), Shanghai Cultural Plaza, 36 Yongjia Road, Shanghai, China (Mandarin address:上海文化广场SCS音乐剧中心（C空间）上海市永嘉路 36 号)
    • Eligible for: MA/MFA Musical Theatre applicants, plus BA Musical Theatre applicants who are invited to recall following first-round video audition.

 

Application & Submission Deadlines

  • For the Philadelphia auditions (all applicants):
    • For BA Acting and BA Musical Theatre only: We must receive your UCAS application by Monday, 1 December 2025, and receive your first-round videos by Monday, 15 December 2025.
    • For other programmes: full application by Friday 2 January 2026.
  • For the Shanghai auditions (BA/MA/MFA Musical Theatre):
    • In order to be invited to this audition, you must submit a full application to us no later than Friday, 20 March 2026.
    • For BA Musical Theatre only, we must receive your UCAS application by the UCAS deadline of 14 January 2026 and be invited to a recall audition.
